Fuel prices are surging in Italy!

The Italian associations of the gas mobility sector call on the authorities to intervene in light of the current difficult situation resulting from the increase in fuel prices. The expensive fuel costs affects all the companies in the freight transport sector, which are facing unsustainable cost increases. Fuel prices reached € 1.60 per litre in 2022, with an increase of 28 cents compared to 2020. Therefore, the truck operating costs grow by 9,300 euros a year, according to CNA Fita. The problem affects also the sustainable mobility and methane-powered vehicles, damaging green companies too. In addition to the improvement of renewable gas mobility, the associations are asking for a reduction in fuel taxes: otherwise many transport companies will be forced to stop their vehicles.
