Land Transport Specialist

Job Offer Information

We are hiring a LAND TRANSPORT SPECIALIST to organize and manage road transport to and from Eastern, Central, and Western Europe. We are seeking both recent high school graduates and recent graduates to join our team, as well as those with work experience (experiences in transport and/or shipping companies are considered an advantage) for our office in GORIZIA.

Each team member is involved in high-impact projects for strategic sectors such as chemical, industrial equipment, steel, and many other industries.

Main responsibilities: As part of the team, in coordination with your colleagues, you will be responsible for:

  • Quotations and sales: Managing customer relationships choosing the best shipping method for them; preparing quotes and conducting commercial negotiations in full autonomy;

  • Carrier selection: Identifying the most suitable carrier for the type of shipment by evaluating a variety of technical characteristics of transport; negotiating freight rates with our Partners; seeking out new freight carriers to join our network;

  • Transport organization: Planning and performing international shipments from the shipment planning phase to unloading, ensuring proper delivery of the goods at destination;

  • Business development: Providing sales support to find new strategic opportunities and new Customers, leveraging the dynamic nature of the industry and market opportunities;

  • Unforeseen issues resolution: Resolving any possible shipping issues or complications with the relevant departments;

  • Results monitoring: Regularly reviewing results and aligning objectives, with ongoing consultation with your department manager. 

Requirements: 

  • English language and foreign language proficiency to interact directly with our international Clients and Partners;

  • Proactivity, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to learn, as the transport industry is constantly evolving;

  • Strong propensity to work in a dynamic and team environment;

Main responsibilities: As part of the team, in coordination with your colleagues, you will be responsible for:

  • Quotations and sales: Managing Customer and foreign correspondents relationships choosing the best shipping method for them; preparing quotes and conducting commercial negotiations in full  autonomy;

  • Shipping organization: Planning and organizing shipments ensuring high-quality customer service and punctuality at every stage of transportation; maintaining constant communication with Clients to provide timely updates and support. 

  • Unforeseen issues resolution: Rapid and effective response to any possible shipping issues, using a problem-solving approach;

  • Document preparation: Preparing, checking, and verifying the documents required for import/export operations, and correctly transmitting to key stakeholders;

  • Business development: Coordinating with the sales office to engage new Clients; conducting sales visits; participating in the department's strategic development.
