The history of our family
For over a century now, Gianesini has been connecting the world with transport and shipping services that have always aimed for excellence. Founded in 1924 as a small family business, the company become, generation after generation, one of the major Italian companies in the industry, while maintaining the values that distinguish it for its reliability and quality.
Today, under the lead of the third and fourth generations of the Gianesini family, we manage more than 40.000 transports a year, offering customized services for a wide range of road, sea, and air transportation. Our experience allows us to meet the needs of clients across various commercial sectors and continents. From Less than Truckload transportation to oversized shipments, our approach aims to find the most effective solution for each customer need. This development is the result of an unwavering dedication to quality, efficiency, transparency, and customer care - these values have guided Gianesini for 100 years and will continue to guide us into the future.
100 years of excellence
Our story began in 1924, when Erminio Gianesini embarked on a path that has spanned generations and continues today. The first transport services began in Idria (part of Italy, at the time), serving the surrounding areas. Over time, the company specialized in goods transportation and developed into the freight sector, continuing to grow. We moved to Gorizia in 1940, the company expanded the business and began to operate worldwide. Today, a century later, transparency, reliability, and focus on customers remain our core values.

Our history
1924
Company foundation
On the 1st of January, Erminio Gianesini founds the transport company for people and goods in Idria (now in Slovenia), initially operating along the Isonzo Valley.
1967
The headquarters in Gorizia
The company moves to its current location in Gorizia, in San Gabriele street, and begin transporting chemical goods, expanding its range of services and finding new market opportunities.
1989
European expansion
Focusing on international business development, Gianesini expand its services across all of Europe, also as a forwarding company, and open new branches in Modena and Milan.
1998
Air and sea freight begins
We inaugurate the air and sea departments and obtain authorization as customs operators. This development allows us to offer an increasingly complete and integrated service.
2019
The arrival of the fourth generation
With the arrival of the fourth generation, of the Gianesini family, the company reinforce its future commitment to its clients, ensuring that the same values will continue to guide the company in the years to come.
